Senior Chief Engineer - Transportation Policies

Job Description

JOB PURPOSE

Perform specialized tasks and studies in transportation policies and participate in the development and improvement of transportation policies, plans, and regulations for the Emirate of Dubai.

Key Results Accountabilities

# Analyze, prepare, and present technical transportation policy information and reports.

# Identify various transportation issues and problems and propose transportation policies that can contribute to solving these problems.

# Preparing terms of reference and tender documents for transport policy studies as needed and following up on the implementation of these studies.

# Managing transport policy studies and ensuring the alignment of results with Dubai's strategic transport plan.

# Conducting benchmarking and studies related to various transport policies in Dubai, developing and offering solutions as needed.

# Conducting specialized studies on internal transport policies and preparing technical reports and presentations on various issues related to the transport system in Dubai and between Dubai and neighboring emirates.

# Participating in identifying, evaluating, and selecting appropriate transport policies, taking into account the strategies and objectives of the Roads and Transport Authority (RTA).

# Participating in updating the Dubai Sustainable Multimodal Transport System Plan to support the emirate's growth requirements.

# Provide ongoing assistance to the section manager regarding transportation policy, planning, and legislation.

# Analyzing results and issues raised by RTA entities monitoring the implementation of transport policies and recommending required actions.

# Performing any other responsibilities as assigned by the direct manager.

Qualifications

EDUCATION

# Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering/Architecture/Transportation Planning/Urban Planning or equivalent from an accredited university

# Master's degree in Urban Planning/Transportation Planning (preferred)

# Minimum 11 years of experience in the field
