Job description

We’re looking for a Senior Chef de Partie – Butchery with precision, passion, and leadership to ensure every cut meets the highest standards. From prep to plate, you'll play a key role in delivering quality and consistency across our kitchen.

A little taste of your day-to-day:

Every day is different, but you’ll mostly be:

  • Oversee daily operations of the butchery department, including staff management and scheduling
  • Ensure compliance with food safety standards, Halal requirements, and local regulations
  • Expertly cut, prepare, and display a wide variety of meats according to customer preferences and Middle Eastern traditions
  • Manage inventory, place orders, and maintain relationships with meat suppliers
  • Train and mentor junior butchers in proper cutting techniques and customer service
  • Provide expert advice to customers on meat selection, preparation, and cooking methods
  • Implement and maintain quality control measures for all meat products
  • Collaborate with other departments to create special offerings and promotions
  • Stay updated on industry trends and introduce new products or techniques as appropriate

What We need from you:

  • Minimum 4 years of experience in butchery, with 1-2 years in a supervisory role
  • Expert knowledge of various meat cuts, preparation methods, and butchery techniques
  • Proven leadership skills with the ability to train and manage a team effectively
  • Strong understanding of food safety practices and Halal requirements
  • Excellent customer service skills and the ability to build relationships with clients
  • Proficiency in inventory management and basic computer skills for ordering systems
  • High school diploma or equivalent; additional culinary education is a plus
  • In-depth knowledge of local and international meat grading systems
  • Physical stamina to stand for extended periods and lift heavy items
  • Ability to work in a cold environment and handle sharp tools safely
  • Excellent communication skills in English
  • Willingness to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays as needed
