Job summary

Redford Recruiters seeks a hands-on fabrication expert to develop motorcycle go-kart frames and vehicle structures. The role focuses on high-quality TIG/MIG welding, chassis fabrication, and prototype assemblies within an innovative engineering environment.

You will read fabrication drawings, operate pipe benders, grinders, and welding equipment, and collaborate with engineering and production teams to improve designs and processes.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3-5 years of fabrication and welding experience.
• Strong expertise in TIG and MIG welding.
• Experience working with steel, stainless steel, chrome steel, and aluminum.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering and fabrication drawings.
• Experience in automotive manufacturing, motorsport fabrication, motorcycle manufacturing, prototype development, or fabrication workshops is highly preferred.
• Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting abilities.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
• Good English communication skills.
• Passion for engineering, innovation, and product development.
• Immediate or short-notice joiners will be an advantage.

Responsibilities

• Fabricate and assemble motorcycle frames.
• Go-kart chassis.
• Vehicle structures and prototype assemblies.
• Perform high-quality TIG and MIG welding on steel, stainless steel, chrome steel, and aluminum components.
• Interpret engineering drawings and fabrication drawings and technical specifications.
• Carry out chassis fabrication, structural modifications and precision fitting work.
• Operate fabrication equipment including pipe benders, cutting tools, grinders and welding equipment.
• Support prototype development and R&D projects.
• Work closely with engineering and production teams to improve designs and manufacturing processes.
• Ensure weld quality, structural integrity and dimensional accuracy.
• Conduct quality inspections and troubleshoot fabrication challenges.
• Contribute ideas for process improvements and product enhancements.
• Maintain a safe, organized and efficient workshop environment.
