Job description

Amazon UAE is looking for a smart, enthusiastic, hardworking, and creative Senior Vendor Manager to join our appliances business based out of Dubai. Amazon offers a convenient, safe, and enjoyable online shopping experience through a trusted website featuring more than 100,000 products from international and local brands at competitive prices.
The Senior Vendor Manager will be responsible for developing and owning the P&L and strategy for one of the categories at a regional level for Amazon in UAE. Within this role, the individual will have the opportunity to drive category growth, manage category profitability, and identify means to improve the customer experience.
We are seeking a seasoned individual with a broad skillset including strong analytical skills, excellent business judgment, strong vendor management and negotiation skills, deep curiosity to uncover how things work, and a passion for creating a world-class shopping experience for our customers.
You should be ready to do on-ground work and collaborate with cross-functional teams to get things moving. You will work with vendors of all sizes and must have the leadership presence and communication skills to represent Amazon at all levels.

Key Job Responsibilities

In this role, a successful candidate will be an effective communicator and problem-solver, able to balance the needs and requirements of both Amazon and the strategic supplier. This role is an ideal start to a dynamic career path at Amazon for an ambitious candidate who is eager to drive a business.

  1. Maintaining data quality for the product catalogue and building comprehensive brand destinations within Amazon.
  2. Coordinating and creating launch plans for new products/brands/categories.
  3. Managing site placements and promotions to coordinate with relevant suppliers and the event calendar if applicable.
  4. Designing and executing targeted marketing campaigns in coordination with the Instock and Marketing/Merchandising team.
  5. Providing reporting and success metrics for campaigns and merchandising activities.
  6. Reviewing sales and key metrics to identify areas of opportunity to optimize sales and reach new customers.
  7. Management and responsibility of inventory levels.
  8. Supplier management and engagement.
  9. Managing inbound shipments: fill rate, SKUs, operational issues, lead time, and quality deviations.
  10. Responsible for the category KPIs.

Required Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you should have:

  1. 5 years of experience with Excel.
  2. 5 years of account management, project or program management, or buying experience.
  3. Bachelor's degree or 5 years of professional or military experience.
  4. Knowledge of Microsoft Access or SQL.
  5. Experience using data to influence business decisions.
  6. Experience driving internal cross-team collaboration.
  7. Experience with business analysis and P&L management.
  8. Experience driving direction and alignment with cross-functional teams.
