About the job Senior Cards Portfolio Manager
  • Term: 9 months
  • Job Location : UAE, Dubai ( on-site)
  • Project Scope: Building and managing lifecycle management program for Client to increase card activeness, spend per active card, achieve lower inactivation and product attrition by leveraging advanced analytics and marketing

Role Overview and Requirements :

Role Overview: The Senior Cards Portfolio Manager will lead the cards portfolio management team, overseeing the strategic direction, performance, and growth of the cards portfolio. This role requires a deep understanding of the cards market, strong analytical skills, and the ability to drive business results through effective portfolio management. The manager will also be responsible for identifying new market opportunities, developing innovative card products, and ensuring compliance with industry regulations.

Role Requirements:

  • Develop and implement strategies to optimize the cards portfolio performance, including pricing, promotions, and product enhancements.
  • Lead and mentor the cards portfolio management team, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and professional development.
  • Analyze market trends, customer behavior, and competitive landscape to identify growth opportunities and potential risks.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including marketing, IT, and customer service, to enhance product offerings and customer experience.
  • Monitor and report on portfolio performance, providing insights and recommendations to senior management to drive strategic decisions.
  • Ensure compliance with industry regulations and internal policies, maintaining high standards of governance and risk management.

Knowledge and Experience:

  • 12+ years of experience in cards portfolio management or a related field, with a proven track record of driving business growth and achieving targets.
  • Strong leadership and team management skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate a diverse team.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a data-driven approach to decision-making.
  • In-depth knowledge of the cards market, industry trends, and regulatory environment.
  • Experience in developing and launching new card products, including credit, debit, and prepaid cards.

Technical Requirements:

  • Proficiency in data analysis and portfolio management tools, Excel, and Tableau.
  • Strong understanding of financial metrics and performance indicators, including Net Interest Margin (NIM), Fee Income, Charge-off Rates, Delinquency Rates, Average Spend per Card, Activation Rates, and Customer Retention Rates
  • Familiarity with card management systems (CMS) and payment processing platforms.
  • Knowledge of fraud detection and prevention tools, as well as risk management systems.
  • Understanding of regulatory compliance requirements in the UAE

Non-Technical Requirements:

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams, managing multiple projects and priorities simultaneously.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills, with a focus on delivering results in a fast-paced environment.
