Job summary

SearchPlus HR Consultancy seeks a Consultant Cardiac Anesthesiologist for a leading UAE hospital. The candidate will deliver anesthesia for adult and paediatric cardiac procedures, ensuring safety across the perioperative period.

The role requires Western board certification, strong cardiac anesthesia experience, and eligibility for UAE licensing. Collaborative work with surgeons, perfusionists, and ICU teams is essential.

Qualifications

• Medical degree (MBBS or equivalent) from a recognised institution.
• Recognised specialist qualification in Anesthesiology, with additional training or certification in cardiac anesthesia.
• Western board certification, such as American Board Certification in Anesthesiology or equivalent UK/Canadian/Australian qualification.
• Substantial specialist-level experience in cardiac anesthesia and management of complex cardiovascular surgeries.
• Experience in TEE and cardiac intensive care is highly desirable.
• Eligibility for UAE Consultant Anesthesiologist licensing.

Responsibilities

• Provide anesthesia care for complex cardiac surgical procedures (CABG, valve procedures).
• Conduct thorough preoperative assessments and evaluate cardiovascular risks.
• Develop individualized anesthesia plans for cardiac surgery.
• Perform advanced hemodynamic monitoring and intraoperative assessments.
• Manage intraoperative instability and critical events.
• Provide perioperative care for major cardiovascular/thoracic cases.
• Coordinate with surgeons, perfusionists, and ICU teams.
• Oversee postoperative stabilization and ICU transfers.
• Contribute to clinical audits and continuing medical education.
