Job summary

Edge Group is seeking aCalibration Lab Specialist in Abu Dhabi to perform TMDE calibrations, support repairs, and ensure SI traceability for laboratory equipment. The role emphasizes accuracy in data, adherence to ISO/IEC standards, and contributing to quality checks within a lab team.

The candidate should have at least five years of calibration experience, strong Excel skills, and the ability to communicate effectively in English. A supervisory background is preferred.

Qualifications

• Requires high school diploma; Bachelor’s degree preferred (Engineering advantageous).
• Minimum five years of calibration experience.
• Ability to conduct uncertainty measurements per ISO-GUM.
• Knowledge of ISO/IEC 17025 standard.
• Proficient in Excel and MS Office.
• Fluent English communication required.

Responsibilities

• Performs calibration of TMDE in the Calibration Laboratory daily.
• Assists in minor repairs and calibration service support for customer equipment.
• Validates SI traceability for laboratory equipment.
• Performs preventive maintenance and checking on reference standards.
• Ensures calibration reports comply with ISO 9001/17025 requirements.
• Validates uncertainty computations per ISO-GUM and related spreadsheets.
• Follows approved manuals and work instructions.
• Manages inventory of consumables, tools, and equipment.
• Provides technical assistance within laboratory capabilities.
• Participates in interlaboratory comparisons and quality checks.
• Contributes to corrective/preventive actions from audits.
• Maintains up-to-date technical records and uncertainty calculations.
• Promotes ISO/IEC 17025 regulations and accreditation requirements.
• Participates in risk management and reports calibration process risks.
