GMG is seeking a Senior Buyer to oversee end-to-end buying for the Sports business unit in the United Arab Emirates. You will source, select, and negotiate with suppliers to secure high-quality, profitable products while optimizing inventory and customer satisfaction.

• Strong negotiation skills.
• Excellent analytical abilities with data in SAP/Power BI/Excel.
• Solid understanding of retail buying cycles, assortment planning and inventory management.
• Organized and detail-oriented, able to manage multiple brands/seasons/suppliers under pressure.
• 5 years in procurement; 3 years in retail buying.
• Experience with inventory management.
• SAP ERP knowledge.
• Experience in sports retail.

Responsabilidades

• Lead product selection and procurement for assigned categories, building compelling assortments.
• Conduct market and competitor research to identify opportunities and gaps.
• Negotiate terms with suppliers to maximize margin and value.
• Manage purchase orders, tracking, and on-time deliveries aligned with calendars.
• Use SAP, Power BI and other tools to analyze sales, stock and purchasing data.
• Coordinate with Merchandising, Allocation, and Logistics teams for smooth product flow.
• Monitor purchasing performance against budgets and financial targets.
• Assess supplier performance and drive continuous improvement in quality and terms.
• Ensure compliance with procurement policies and prepare leadership reports.
• Provide guidance to Buyers and Assistants to promote best practices.
