About Wynn Al Marjan Island

On schedule to open in the United Arab Emirates in early 2027, Wynn Al Marjan Island has been created as an opulent and entertaining beachside destination for discerning guests to play and relax. Located less than 50 minutes from Dubai International Airport, this integrated resort offering 1,530 rooms and suites, 22 restaurants and lounges, a theater, nightclub, and five-star spa is currently under construction on a picturesque island that gracefully curves into the Arabian Gulf.

About The Position

Wynn Al Marjan Island is currently seeking a Senior Buyer to join the resort’s Procurement Team.

Responsibilities
  • This position is responsible for the coordination of the Buyers’ functions as well as sourcing, negotiating and procuring good and services as required by the end users in accordance with the Procurement operation to ensure the best overall Total Cost of Ownership (TCO).
  • Source, negotiate and procure the correct products and services required by the user departments in accordance with departmental and company policy
  • Maintain current market conditions on required commodities
  • Prepare RFQ and RFP documents in accordance with company and departmental policies
  • Analyze bid responses so as to make fiscally sound recommendations, documenting supplier responses
  • Resolve any discrepancies between purchase orders, receiving documentation and vendor invoices
  • Create, develop and maintain productive and proactive business relationships with key suppliers, within strict contractual supply guidelines as directed
  • Collaborate with the warehouse and user departments to maintain the right mix of products at appropriate par levels
  • Conduct periodic quality checks of incoming merchandise in collaboration with personnel from the Business units.
  • Maintain accurate and timely logs of all purchasing activities
  • Assist with the preparation of various monthly reports and key performance indicators (KPIs)
  • Enforce Procurement internal controls, policies and procedures for inventory and non-inventory purchases, services, petty cash and emergency purchases
  • Advise the Manager, Procurement of unusual or remarkable costs, purchases and consumption of inventory and non-inventory items and suggest ways to reduce costs, including alternative sources for products
  • Manage multiple projects simultaneously, prioritise work and follow through on issues in a timely manner
  • Participate in training and other activities to facilitate high team performance
  • Provide training to team members by enhancing product knowledge, system applications and negotiation skills
  • Always maintain strict confidentiality on all matters
  • Interact with Department and Company Team Members, management, and suppliers professionally and positively
  • Encourage good relationships, promote team spirit, and ensure effective two-way communications
  • Adhere to the Company policies and procedures and comply with the Code of Conduct
  • Perform duties assigned by other members of Procurement Management
Qualifications
  • Secondary school diploma or above
  • Minimum of 3 years’ related experience in a luxury hotel & resorts of food & beverages procurement.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
