What you'll do:

  • Manage vendor selection and develop strong vendor partnerships.
  • Monitor industry trends and evaluate competition, attending major markets as feasible.
  • Perform weekly stock and sales analysis to ensure brands are trending correctly in line with sales plans.
  • Review planned deliveries to meet sales targets, profitability, and stock levels.
  • Analyze product and pricing data to inform pricing strategies and manage spend within budget.
  • Negotiate terms with global suppliers to achieve target margins and ensure timely delivery.
  • Maintain market awareness to inform buying decisions and product performance.
  • Coach and inspire junior team members.
  • Identify strong and weak selling items, report findings, and suggest enhancements.
  • Build and maintain robust relationships with suppliers, securing favorable terms and timely deliveries.
  • Ensure timely and accurate stock replenishment.
  • Maximize sales and margins, understanding product positioning and design impact on costs.
  • Strategize growth initiatives for the category and own their execution.
  • Leverage data to optimize availability, assortment, and pricing.

What you'll need:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration or related field.
  • Minimum 3+ years relevant experience, or Master's with 1+ years experience.
  • Exposure to eCommerce industry, preferably in grocery.
  • Strong stakeholder management skills.
