Job Title: Senior Business Analyst

Job Summary: Senior Busyness analyst – Commercial & Pricing plays a pivotal role in driving data-driven decision-making and optimizing commercial performance across all business units (hospitals, clinics, pharmacies, and laboratories). This role is responsible for analysing financial data, operational metrics, market trends, and customer insights to identify opportunities for growth, improve profitability, and enhance service delivery.
Key Responsibilities:
Data Analysis & Reporting:
- Gather, clean, and analyse large datasets from various sources (e.g., EMR/EHR, billing systems, CRM, market research, financial reports) related to hospitals, clinics, pharmacies, and laboratories etc.
- Develop and maintain regular reports and dashboards on key commercial performance indicators (KPIs) such as revenue, patient volume, service utilization, market share, profitability, and customer satisfaction across all business segments.
- Conduct in-depth ad-hoc analysis to answer specific business questions and provide insights into commercial challenges and opportunities.
- Utilize statistical methods and analytical tools to identify trends, patterns, and correlations within complex healthcare data.
Performance Optimization & Problem Solving:
- Identify areas of commercial underperformance and propose data-backed solutions.
- Analyse patient journeys and operational workflows to identify bottlenecks and optimize commercial efficiency.
- Collaborate with operational teams to implement and monitor the effectiveness of commercial improvements / initiatives.
Forecasting & Budgeting Support:
- Assist in the development of commercial forecasts and budgets for various business units based on historical data, market trends, and strategic objectives.
- Monitor actual performance against forecasts and budgets, providing variance analysis and explanations.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Economics, Finance, Statistics, Healthcare Administration, or a related quantitative field.
- Minimum of 3-5 years of experience as a Business / Financial Analyst or similar analytical role, preferably within the healthcare industry.
- Proven experience in analysing commercial data for multiple business lines (e.g., hospitals, clinics, pharmacies, labs) is highly desirable.
- Experience with revenue cycle management, patient flow analysis, or service line profitability analysis is a significant advantage.
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel (advanced functions, pivot tables, modelling).
- High experience with data visualization tools (e.g. Power BI, QlikView).
- Proficiency in SQL for data extraction and manipulation is highly preferred
- Familiarity with statistical analysis software (e.g., R, Python, SPSS) is a plus
- Experience with EMR/EHR systems and healthcare specific data analytics platforms is preferred
