Job summary

Axmed is building the digital infrastructure transforming access to medicines and health products across growth markets, aiming to ensure critical medicines are affordable and accessible regardless of a country’s wealth.

Axmed seeks an experienced Head of External Communications to own Axmed's narrative across all touchpoints, lead editorial strategy, and develop the external voice for the CEO and senior leadership, including product launches, market entries, and partnerships.

Qualifications

• Exceptional writing, editing, and storytelling ability with a strong instinct for shareable ideas.
• Proven experience building brand or thought leadership in a fast-paced startup environment.
• Ability to translate complex subject matter into clear communication for senior stakeholders.
• Experience working directly with C-suite executives on external positioning.
• High proficiency with modern AI tools and a data-centric approach to communications performance.
• Background in global health, pharmaceuticals, healthcare, or complex multi-stakeholder environments.

Responsibilities

• Own and evolve Axmed's overarching narrative, positioning, and brand coherence across all external touchpoints
• Build and run the external communications engine, including editorial strategy and content distribution across owned, earned, and paid channels
• Develop the external voice and thought leadership for the CEO and senior leadership team
• Design and execute integrated communications for product launches, market entries, and strategic partnerships
• Collaborate with the Commercial team to create high-value customer-facing materials and pitch decks
• Build AI-native workflows and agents to accelerate research, content development, and communications operations
