Qualifications

• Experience: NLT 7 years postgraduate experience in Biomedical Engineering; four at senior supervisory or management level or equivalent.
• NLT 2 years (unspecified)
• Postgraduate degree helpful for advanced roles.

Responsibilities

• Conducts research by publishing research findings or investigating literature
• Performs biomedical investigations in support of medical risk management related to hazards and incidents involving medical equipment
• Interprets technical data to assist in procurement and maintenance of biomedical equipment
• Provides guidance on equipment selection based on environment and facility requirements
• Oversees and supports engineering drawings of medical equipment and ensures accuracy of details
• Ensures availability of spare parts on and off site for breakdowns
• Assists in preparation of annual physical asset management and maintenance plan
• Monitors external environment for best practices in biomedical equipment management
• Coordinates with vendors to arrange necessary training for concerned staff

Education

BSc degree in Biomedical Engineering or equivalent

Relevant post graduate degree : MSc or PhD
