The Opportunity
Arup is seeking a highly competent Senior BIM Designer to lead digital delivery across complex infrastructure projects (within Rail, Aviation, Tunnels, Stations) in the Middle East. This strategic role involves driving BIM implementation, ensuring compliance with ISO 19650 and Employer’s Information Requirements, and managing model coordination within a Common Data Environment.
You will oversee the development of federated BIM models, support third-party consultants, and contribute to the refinement of standards, workflows, and digital practices. As part of the regional BIM leadership team, you’ll play a key role in advancing innovation, quality, and efficiency across multidisciplinary project delivery.
As a Senior BIM Designer at Arup, you will be responsible for : Establishing project-wide modelling standards in alignment with Arup’s BIM protocols. Preparing and managing discipline-specific BIM models throughout the project lifecycle. Reviewing BIM deliverables for compliance with ISO 19650 and project-specific requirements. Managing and operating the Common Data Environment (CDE) platform.

Is this role right for you?
We are looking for the following skills.
Bachelor’s / master’s degree in civil / structural engineering or a related construction discipline.
Relevant experience (preferably within complex infrastructure projects within Rail, Aviation, Tunnels, Stations).
Strong proficiency in software used for infrastructure disciplines (preferably Autodesk Civil 3D, Revit, Navisworks and Autodesk Construction Cloud).
Experience working with Bentley Suite (incl. MicroStation, OpenRail, InfraWorks, ProjectWise etc.) Desirable.
Experience in project delivery in the Middle East and Major Infrastructure projects including rail.
