Job description

An opportunity has arisen for a Senior Bartender to join the Jumeirah Group team in Dubai. The main duties and responsibilities of this role are :

• Identify and anticipate guests' needs, offering tailored bar services and expert recommendations, actively promoting items to enhance their experience.
• Prepare cocktails and other beverages precisely according to recipes, specializing in fine beverages and crafting unique cocktails that align with the venue's theme or guest preferences.
• Assess and meet guests' requirements, expertly advising on wine and food pairings tailored to the outlet's theme or individual preferences, with a focus on upselling beverages based on guest preferences.
• Collaborate closely with bartenders to ensure seamless service to all guests, providing support as needed to maintain exceptional service standards.
• Supervise bar inventories, ensuring all perishable garnishes are stored correctly and logged, and regularly checking expiration dates.
• Complete all required checklists daily, weekly, and monthly, promptly notifying managers of beverage product replenishment needs.
• Demonstrate responsibility in serving alcoholic beverages, ensuring compliance with company policies and regulatory requirements for safe consumption.
• Foster positive working relationships and support team members to achieve shared objectives.
• Uphold departmental policies, adhere to HACCP procedures, and follow F&B standard operating procedures to deliver a luxurious guest experience in line with Jumeirah's excellence standards.
• Adhere strictly to Health, Safety, and Environment protocols, ensuring a safe and secure environment for guests and staff alike.

About You :

The ideal candidate for this position will have the following experience and qualifications :

• A minimum of 2 years of bartending experience, in a reputable hospitality brand or a standalone restaurant is required for this role.
• Proficient and passion for preparing a wide range of cocktails and beverages, including classic cocktails and modern mixology techniques.
• Proficiency in English is required, ideally complemented by proficiency with a second language (Spanish, French, Arabic, Russian, German, Mandarin, and / or Greek) with strong communication abilities.
• Desirable working practical knowledge with Opera, Epicure, or Micros.
• Previous similar experience in a renowned hospitality brand or a standalone restaurant.
