Job summary

Property Finder is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to join the team behind the surfaces that bring millions of people to Property Finder every month — search, content, and platforms across multiple countries and languages. You will own services end to end, ensuring latency, data correctness, and scalable architecture that directly impact acquisition and revenue.

This hands-on senior role focuses on building and evolving backend services, collaborating with product, SEO, data, and web/mobile

Qualifications

• 5+ years backend engineering on high-traffic consumer-facing systems.
• Strong TypeScript (Node.js) expertise.
• Go experience or ability to pick it up quickly.
• Experience designing distributed services and API boundaries.
• Relational databases design and query optimization (MySQL/PostgreSQL).
• Caching and search indexing performance tuning under real load.
• Production AWS experience with containerised workloads and observability.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and operate the backend services powering our highest-traffic consumer surfaces.
• Own your work end to end: design, implementation, testing, deployment, observability, and iteration based on production data.
• Build new services and features in TypeScript (Node.js), and maintain Go services.
• Work at the edges of the system: caching, CDN, content delivery, and rendering paths.
• Build for multiple countries and languages from day one: localisation and market-specific behaviour.
• Partner with product, SEO, data, and web/mobile engineers to build maintainable systems.
• Drive operational excellence: monitoring, incident response, reliability, latency, and cost.
