Job summary

Commercial Bank of Dubai is seeking an experienced internal audit professional to join its assurance team in Dubai. The role focuses on independent assessment of controls, risk management and processes to ensure regulatory compliance and effective risk mitigation across the bank’s operations.

You will plan, lead and execute audits, produce findings for senior management, and collaborate with stakeholders to promote best practices, governance and continuous improvement across the organisation.

Qualifications

• ACA or professional qualification relevant to the role.
• 3+ years’ experience in external or internal audit.
• Retail banking experience and finance knowledge.
• Good understanding of banking concepts, products and procedures.
• Good knowledge of Banking regulations.
• Good knowledge of retail and finance processes.

Responsibilities

• Undertake reviews to assess controls, risk management, and processes.
• Plan and organise audits according to the Internal Audit Plan.
• Lead and contribute to audits.
• Perform fieldwork and assess controls effectiveness.
• Draft issues and present findings to management.
• Liaise with stakeholders to discuss issues and advise on improvements.
• Ensure follow-up on outstanding issues to manage risks.
• Manage relationships with management and external parties.
• Support management in accepting corrective actions.
• Ensure compliance with policies and regulations.
• Recommend changes to improve operations.
• Develop team members to meet performance standards.
