Reports to: Director, Audit & Risk

Introduction

We are actively searching for a Senior Auditor – Internal Audit for Imkan Properties. Reporting to the Director, this role is responsible for planning and executing risk-based assurance and consulting activities that add value and improve operational efficiency, internal control, and the effectiveness of risk management and governance processes.

Role Scope

1. Identify risks related to business processes and activities, evaluate controls, and suggest improvements.
2. Develop risk assessments, process flows, and testing procedures in line with policies, regulations, and industry best practices.
3. Assist in developing the internal audit plan based on risk assessments.
4. Determine audit scope and type with management, and execute the audit plan.
5. Review compliance with policies and procedures, and assess their effectiveness.
6. Prepare audit reports with findings and conclusions on risk management and control systems.
7. Identify cost-effective improvements and opportunities for efficiency.
8. Evaluate the implementation of management’s corrective actions on audit recommendations.
9. Participate in special reviews and undertake administrative duties as directed.

Qualifications, Skills, and Attributes

1. Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
2. 6-8 years of relevant auditing experience (consulting and/or industry).
3. Professional qualification (CIA, ACCA, CPA, CA) is a plus.
4. UAE experience is mandatory; preference for candidates in Abu Dhabi or willing to relocate.
5. Experience in Facilities Management or Real Estate Development is advantageous.
6. Proactive, dynamic, able to work independently and in teams.
7. Strong project management skills with the ability to handle multiple priorities.
8. Up-to-date with industry, regulatory changes, and standards.
9. Technical knowledge combined with analytical and critical thinking skills.
10. Excellent communication and client service skills.
11. Strong analytical skills, judgment, organization, and attention to detail.
12. Willing to travel overseas as needed.
