Job Purpose
To provide support in the implementation of sustainability strategies and ESG initiatives across the Modon Group.
This role involves assisting in day-to-day coordination, data collection, and logistics for ESG programs, contributing to the Group’s broader commitment to responsible business practices with a particular focus on environmental performance.
Support in preparing sections of Modon’s sustainability reports, collecting Segment disclosures, while supporting accurate and timeliness submissions under supervision.
Roles, Responsibilities, Duties
1. Sustainability Strategy Support
- Support the implementation and operationalisation of Modon’s Group-wide Sustainability and ESG strategies, ensuring alignment with corporate objectives and environmental priorities.
- Lead or coordinate the collection, analysis, and quality assurance of sustainability-related performance data, including key environmental indicators such as energy use, emissions, and resource efficiency.
- Participate in the review, enhancement, and documentation of sustainability and ESG-related policies, operational guidelines, and procedures based on evolving regulatory and industry frameworks.
2. Reporting and Disclosure
- Support in the preparation of sustainability reports and disclosures in alignment with leading global reporting frameworks, including GRI (Global Reporting Initiative), SASB, TCFD, and UN SDGs.
- Support the mapping, organisation, and validation of ESG and sustainability data from crossfunctional departments and Modon Segments to ensure accuracy, consistency, and timeliness in reporting.
- Coordinate qualitative and quantitative inputs required for various sustainability disclosures, assessments, and stakeholder communications.
- Maintain a library of reporting templates, stakeholder feedback, benchmarking data, and evolving regulatory requirements related to sustainability disclosures.
- Coordinate the tracking of environmental metrics throughout the reporting year to support progress monitoring and continuous reporting readiness.
- Work closely with communication teams and external design agencies (when required) to support the structure, formatting, and visual presentation of sustainability and ESG reports.
- Contribute to internal awareness around environmental reporting standards through basic guides, summaries, or briefing sessions.
- Assist in analysing external ESG ratings and certifications with a focus on environmental reporting accuracy and gaps (e.g., CDP, EcoVadis, GRESB).
3. Stakeholder Support
- Liaise with internal departments and functions to embed Sustainability and ESG considerations with a focus on environmental performance into daily operations and reporting.
- Assist in preparing communication materials, presentations, and briefing documents for stakeholder engagement or consultation sessions.
- Support the coordination of community engagement and environmental awareness initiatives.
4. Environmental Initiative Support
- Support the implementation of Modon’s environmental initiatives focused on reducing carbon footprint, enhancing energy efficiency, improving water and waste management, and advancing green building practices.
- Track key environmental metrics and assist in recording operational compliance with local and international environmental regulations.
- Provide logistical and data support during environmental audits, assessments, or certifications.

5. Sustainable Procurement & Supply Chain
- Assist procurement and operational teams in integrating ESG and environmental considerations into supplier evaluation processes.
- Help administer environmental due diligence documentation and performance tracking from third-party vendors and suppliers.
6. Knowledge and Best Practice
- Stay informed of emerging ESG trends, focusing especially on evolving environmental regulations, green technologies, and performance benchmarks.
- Participate in research efforts to identify sustainability best practices relevant to Modon’s industry sectors.
- Support technological adoption and digital tracking of ESG and environmental performance metrics within the Group.
Qualification
- Bachelor's degree in Environmental Engineering, Environmental Science, Sustainability or related field.
- A master’s degree in Sustainability or Environmental Management is preferred.
- Certification such as LEED, BREEAM, Estidama or similar is preferred.
Experience
- 7 – 8 years of relevant professional experience in Sustainability, ESG, Environmental Management, or related disciplines. A background in environmental science, environmental engineering, or natural resource management is preferred. Hands-on experience supporting ESG strategy implementation, measuring social and environmental impact, compiling data and stakeholder engagement is expected.
- Familiarity with global ESG and environmental reporting frameworks (e.g., GRI, SASB, TCFD) is desirable, as is experience assisting with sustainability audits or disclosures.
- Exposure to carbon markets, energy systems, biodiversity, and the energy transition landscape will be considered advantageous.
