Job description

On behalf of a leading global law firm with a prominent footprint across the Middle East, we are seeking a Senior Associate to join their Project Finance team based in Dubai.

This is a career-defining opportunity to work closely with the firm’s Head of Middle East, a highly regarded figure in the regional legal market, and to contribute to some of the most complex and high-value infrastructure, energy, and development finance transactions in the region.

The Role:

You will take a lead role on major project finance transactions across the GCC and wider MENA region, advising sponsors, lenders, multilateral institutions, and government bodies on the structuring, negotiation, and execution of large-scale infrastructure and energy deals.

This position offers an ideal platform for a lawyer looking to take their expertise to the next level in a high-performing and regionally integrated practice.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Advise clients on project finance, acquisition finance, and infrastructure development matters.

  • Draft and negotiate a wide range of finance and security documents, including facility agreements, intercreditor agreements, and project documentation.

  • Represent commercial lenders, ECAs, development banks, and sponsors across sectors including energy, utilities, transport, and social infrastructure.

  • Play a central role in the management of transactions, including supervising juniors and liaising with clients and local counsel.

  • Contribute to business development, client pitches, and knowledge-sharing initiatives within the team.

Requirements:
  • Qualified lawyer with 5–7 years of post-qualification experience, from a top-tier international law firm.

  • Strong track record in project finance and related areas such as public-private partnerships (PPPs) or infrastructure M&A.

  • Familiarity with Middle East markets is preferred but not essential.

  • Confident, commercially astute, and able to manage high-value, cross-border transactions with multiple stakeholders.

  • Excellent drafting, negotiation, and project management skills.

  • Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively in a collaborative, cross-border environment.

Why This Firm?
  • Join a globally recognized project finance practice ranked among the best in the world.

  • Gain hands-on exposure to landmark regional projects shaping the future of the Middle East.

  • Work alongside market-leading partners and an ambitious, supportive team.

  • Enjoy competitive compensation, clear career progression, and international secondment opportunities.
