Job summary

Ghobash Trading & Investment seeks a senior equity research professional to lead coverage across UAE and GCC markets, delivering detailed models and independent investment theses. You will interact with management, brokers, and the investment committee to inform buy/sell/hold recommendations and risk assessments.

The role requires a decade in equity research or portfolio management, fluent English and Arabic, and proficiency with Bloomberg or Eikon to drive high-quality research across multiple

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in business or related field.
• 10 years of experience in equity research, investment analysis, or portfolio management.
• At least 6 years covering UAE and GCC markets.
• Excellent written and verbal English and Arabic.
• Experience with Bloomberg or Eikon.

Responsibilities

• Lead coverage across MENA-listed companies and sectors with buy/sell/hold theses.
• Build and maintain advanced financial models with forecasts and scenarios.
• Prepare investment proposals for committees and present insights.
• Monitor disclosures, earnings, and macro developments.
• Engage with management and sell-side to gather actionable insights.
• Maintain valuation and peer comparison tables and generate ideas.

Job description

Responsibilities

• Lead coverage across assigned MENA-listed companies and sectors, including Banks, Real Estate, Telcos/Utilities, Consumer, Industrials, Energy, and Transportation
• Build and maintain advanced financial models with detailed forecasts, scenario analyses, and valuation sensitivities
• Independently produce investment theses and research reports with clear buy/sell/hold recommendations
• Continuously monitor company disclosures, earnings results, and macroeconomic developments
• Conduct management meetings and engage with sell-side analysts to gather actionable insights
• Prepare and present investment proposals for the Investment Committee
• Maintain up-to-date valuation and peer-comparison tables
• Generate new investment ideas by screening opportunities across MENA markets
• Collaborate closely with the Portfolio Manager to assess portfolio exposures and risk factors
• Stay updated on regulatory, economic, and geopolitical changes across MENA markets

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in business or applicable area of study
• 10 years of total experience in equity research, investment analysis, or portfolio management
• At least 6 years covering UAE and broader GCC markets
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in both English and Arabic (mandatory)
• Exposure to working with modern equity research tools like Bloomberg or Eikon
• Proficiency in MS Office
