Overview

Senior Associate – Event Sales will support MODON’s commercial growth by driving venue sales and event bookings across its Leisure, Entertainment, and Sports assets. The role is focused on positioning MODON as the destination of choice for all kinds of events, especially weddings, live entertainment, corporate events, and MICE activations.

The Senior Associate will proactively engage with event agencies, live entertainment agencies, wedding organizers, and MICE operators to secure venue bookings and deliver tailored event solutions. The role demands expertise in selling event venues across diverse formats, from social celebrations and corporate gatherings to large-scale entertainment shows.

The Senior Associate will build and manage a strong event sales pipeline through prospecting, client meetings, presentations, and relationship management. Responsibilities span the full sales cycle, from lead generation and proposal support to closing contracts and coordinating onboarding, ensuring that all activities contribute to meeting defined event sales KPIs.

In addition to direct sales, the Senior Associate will prepare sales reports, monitoring performance, and coordinating with internal teams to ensure seamless delivery of event agreements and activations.

The role requires strong commercial acumen, persuasive communication skills, attention to detail, and a proven ability to convert leads into confirmed venue bookings.

Roles, Responsibilities and Duties

Event Sales Development

  • Actively drive B2B event sales by engaging with event agencies, live entertainment agencies, wedding organizers, and MICE operators.
  • Position MODON Communities venues as the preferred choice for cultural events, weddings, concerts, festivals, conferences, exhibitions, and corporate gatherings.
  • Proactively generate leads, prepare proposals, and deliver persuasive pitches tailored to client requirements.

Venue Sales Expertise

  • Demonstrate deep knowledge of MODON Communities event venues, capacities, facilities, and service offerings to effectively match client needs.
  • Provide clients with creative event solutions and packages, ensuring competitive positioning in the market.
  • Negotiate and finalize contracts to achieve event sales revenue targets.

Accounts and Partnership Management

  • Act as the primary point of contact for assigned event agencies and corporate accounts, ensuring consistent service and relationship management.
  • Build and nurture long-term partnerships with agencies and clients to secure repeat bookings and referrals.
  • Support client onboarding and ensure smooth communication across all stages of the event sales cycle.

Cross-Department Coordination

  • Work closely with internal teams such as Marketing, Operations, and Asset Managers to ensure seamless delivery of event sales commitments.
  • Coordinate logistics with external vendors, partners, and service providers as required for event execution.
  • Align with Finance and Legal teams to ensure accurate documentation and compliance in event sales agreements.

Reporting & Documentation

  • Prepare and maintain events tracking sheets, databases, and lead status reports.

Support the preparation of post-event reports and performance analysis for internal review and partner reporting. Monitor market trends as well.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Hospitality, or a related field is mandatory. Professional certifications or specialized training in Event Sales or B2B Sales are a plus.

Experience

Minimum of 8 years of progressive experience in Event sales, sponsorships, and commercial development, with at least 4 years in leading and managing events sales ecosystems across UAE.
