Senior Associate - Architecture

AECOM are currently seeking a Senior Associate Architecture to join our rail team within the Building Engineering practice. The Senior Associate is pivotal in advancing the company’s development by assisting the senior management team in evolving AECOM’s design philosophy conducting research activities and facilitating technical development.

Responsibilities:

1. Present design concepts progress updates and project outcomes to clients and stakeholders.
2. Oversee project timelines budgets and deliverables to ensure successful completion.
3. Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams to integrate design solutions including structural mechanical and electrical engineers.
4. Ensure designs comply with local building codes regulations and zoning laws.
5. Direct and coordinate other designers in the consultant team and any appointed specialist designers.
6. Responsible for making technical decisions regarding the resolution of interfaces/disagreements between disciplines.
7. Ensures directly and through subordinates that the project is completed on time according to company and industry standards and meets all requirements of the Design Brief.
8. Responsible for key design input at early design phases and general design leadership during the project.
9. Promote teamwork within a multidisciplinary team maintaining positive morale and instilling a creative culture within the project.
10. Responsible for completing the technical quality review on project deliverables.
11. Lead the technical coordination of specialist subconsultants including the GDC / other AECOM offices and external subconsultants.
12. Responsible for managing deployment to ensure that services are completed within the architectural discipline budget for all stages of the project including change when it occurs.
13. Provide information for preparing cost information value engineering and project strategies.
14. Maintain quality of work by adhering to quality occupational health and safety and corporate standards.
15. Plan develop monitor and maintain resourcing schedule and monitor discipline fee expenditure.
16. Apply advanced technical expertise and industry knowledge to complex projects and problem-solving.

Qualifications :

1. B. Arch or Master in Architecture or equivalent
2. RIBA Part 2 equivalent
3. Local Authority Architect registration preferred
4. 14 years experience with exposure to rail or metro projects as an Architectural Lead
