Job summary

AECOM Middle East Ltd is seeking an experienced Assistant Resident Engineer to support civil and structural construction projects in Al Ain, United Arab Emirates. The role involves supervising construction activities, reviewing drawings, and ensuring quality and regulatory compliance.

The candidate should have at least 8 years post-degree experience (or 10 years after a higher diploma) and a strong understanding of safety and site formation. On-site work arrangement applies.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil or Structural Engineering.
• Minimum 8 years post-degree experience or 10+ years after higher diploma.
• Experience with superstructure works, drainage systems and site formation.

Responsibilities

• Assist Resident Engineer in supervising civil and structural construction activities.
• Ensure compliance with approved drawings, specifications and QA/QC procedures.
• Conduct regular site inspections and verify compliance with method statements and safety procedures.
• Coordinate with contractor, design teams and project stakeholders to resolve technical issues.
• Prepare site inspection reports and maintain QA/QC documentation.
• Support regulatory compliance and environmental health and safety requirements.
