Job summary

Abu Dhabi Investment Council (ADIC) is seeking an Asset Allocation Associate Principal to join the Long-Term Asset Allocation team. Reporting to the Director of Long-Term Asset Allocation, the successful candidate will support the development and management of ADIC's long-term asset allocation framework and investment strategy.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years in asset allocation, investment strategy, macroeconomic research, portfolio construction, investment consulting, or related function.
• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Mathematics, Engineering, or another quantitative discipline.
• CFA designation and/or postgraduate qualification preferred.
• Good understanding of macroeconomics and its implications for financial markets and investment portfolios.
• Experience conducting independent market and investment research.
• Understanding of expected return frameworks, asset allocation, and portfolio construction methodologies.

Responsibilities

• Contribute to the development and maintenance of long-term macroeconomic outlooks, investment scenarios, and market narratives.
• Conduct research on secular trends and asset class developments, assessing their implications for strategic asset allocation.
• Support the development of forward‑looking return, risk, and correlation assumptions across public and private markets.
• Assist in the design, analysis, and stress testing of strategic asset allocation frameworks and portfolio construction methodologies.
• Prepare investment research, presentations, and memoranda, communicating insights to internal stakeholders and supporting strategic initiatives across the organization.
• Undertake ad hoc research and quantitative analysis to support asset allocation and broader investment strategy decisions.
