Position: Senior Architectural Draftsman

Job Location: United Arab Emirates

Job Purpose: The Senior Architectural Draftsman is to produce accurate and detailed architectural drawings, support the design team, and ensure compliance with project requirements and regulations. Their expertise helps streamline the drafting process, resolve technical issues, and maintain high-quality documentation throughout the project.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Prepare and develop architectural and detail drawings showing plans, elevations, sections, materials, finishes and other aspects such as layouts, car parking, existing conditions and landscaping.
• Prepare complete and concise design and detail drawings in line with SECB standard (layers, dimension style, text, hatch pattern, legend, symbols, blocks, etc.).
• On-going review, checking and coordinating of the architectural drawings and details for accuracy, completeness and compliance with the overall design intent.
• Assist in checking submittals and responding to requests for information.
• Use CAD programs to produce designs, detailed drawings and documentation.
• Understanding of all relevant code's requirements and International Standard in the course of preparing project documentation.
• Obtain and assemble data to complete architectural designs, visiting job sites to compile measurements as necessary.

REQUIREMENTS

Educational Qualifications:

• Diploma in Engineering, Architecture, or a related technical field.

Experience:

• Minimum of 10 years drafting experience in a consultancy office within the UAE.

Technical Skills:

• Extensive proficiency in AutoCAD software.
• Strong detailing skills for technical drawings.
• Good knowledge of GIS (Geographic Information Systems).
• Revit Knowledge/ Experience is advantage.

Specialized Expertise:

• Strong expertise in Civil Defense Regulations and drawings preparation.
• Proven experience in Code Analysis drawings preparation.
• Familiarity with Estidama Regulations and architectural drawings preparation.
• Experience in circulation plan development as per ITC Standard.
