Job summary

WSP Middle East are currently seeking a dynamic and experienced Senior Architect (Technical) to join our growing Technical Architecture Team within the Property & Buildings (P&B) Business Unit, based in the UAE. This role focuses on leading technical design, multidisciplinary coordination, construction documentation, and design compliance across complex developments in the Middle East.

• 8+ years of professional architectural experience with strong technical design focus.

Responsibilities

• Lead the technical development and delivery of architectural projects from concept through construction.
• Prepare, review, and coordinate detailed design packages, technical drawings, specifications, and construction documentation.
• Ensure compliance with local regulations, international codes, and project-specific requirements.
• Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams (Structural, MEP, Landscape, Interior Design, Consultants).
• Support BIM implementation and technical design coordination across projects.
• Review shop drawings, material submissions, RFIs, and construction-stage queries.
• Mentor and develop junior architects and technical staff.

WSP Middle East are currently seeking a dynamic and experienced Senior Architect (Technical) to join our growing Technical Architecture Team within the Property & Buildings (P&B) Business Unit, based in the UAE.

This is an exciting opportunity for a technically driven Architect with 8+ years of experience to contribute to the delivery of complex, high-profile developments across the Middle East. The successful candidate will play a key role in leading technical design, multidisciplinary coordination, construction documentation, and design compliance throughout all stages of project delivery.

As part of a collaborative and internationally recognised design team, you will help shape innovative and sustainable solutions across a diverse portfolio of projects, including commercial, mixed-use, hospitality, residential, healthcare, education, aviation, and public sector developments.

Responsibilities

• Lead the technical development and delivery of architectural projects from concept through construction.
• Prepare, review, and coordinate detailed design packages, technical drawings, specifications, and construction documentation.
• Ensure compliance with local authority regulations, international codes, and project-specific requirements.
• Coordinate effectively with multidisciplinary teams, including Structural, MEP, Landscape, Interior Design, and Specialist Consultants.
• Support BIM implementation and technical design coordination across projects.
• Review shop drawings, material submissions, RFIs, and construction-stage technical queries.
• Drive technical excellence, quality assurance, and design consistency across project deliverables.
• Mentor and support junior architects and technical team members.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Architecture.
• 8+ years of professional architectural experience, with a strong emphasis on technical design and project delivery.
• Proven experience within a leading architecture, engineering, or multidisciplinary consultancy environment.
• Strong working knowledge of Revit, BIM workflows, AutoCAD, and construction documentation.
• Excellent coordination, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
• Previous Middle East project experience is highly desirable.
