Job description

Starting to win and develop new clients with annual targets to be agreed.

Be an ambassador for the company / brand at all times and build business with existing clients.

Establish and maintain effective working relationships with key clients and partners, potential key targets, and ensure the delivery of a responsive and professional service.

Ability to represent 9E at new project interviews.

Prepare draft fee proposals, review with the Director for final approval, and arrange for submission to the client.

Develop business with existing clients and ensure regular feedback is received.

Review all key projects within own area of responsibility, proactively engage with clients and partner groups to gather feedback, and deliver service improvement initiatives.

Project Role

Takes lead in technical matters of assigned project(s) or teams up with other Senior Architects for design development.

Provide design solutions and ensure compliance with local authority regulations and codes.

Design development, detailed design, and technical coordination between all disciplines.

Review the design from the Authority perspective and against SBC code and MOMRA guidelines.

Lead or assist other lead Architects in design development (concept/detailed design), review/preparation of authority submissions, and follow up to obtain timely approvals.

Keep the team updated on all local authority regulations and maintain records accordingly.

Attend technical discussions at Municipalities, deal with authorities, review designs, and ensure compliance with all relevant codes and authority requirements.

Assist project managers in achieving accuracy in planning and scheduling according to resource planning and project deadlines.

Coordinate with suppliers and contractors in accordance with project planning, supervise draftspersons, and provide necessary reviews, corrections, and guidelines.

Travel to site(s) for physical inspections and surveys.

Stay updated on materials, their applications, and specifications.

Collaborate with team members to determine design needs and project requirements.

Evaluate project scope of work and assist in proposal preparations.

Arrange meetings to review proposals and plans, making modifications as needed.

Maintain project documentation such as correspondence, minutes, and notes.

Allocate, distribute, and follow up on tasks within the team, checking work quality.

Work closely with external parties and clients to ensure timely delivery.

Assist HR in technical interviews for staffing in the Architectural department.

Continuously learn new skills like Revit Architecture, participate in relevant training, and share knowledge organization-wide.

Coordinate with department heads on staffing levels.

Review and comment on consultancy agreements for scope of services.

Ensure project compliance with contracts.

Create project execution plans to track progress.

Apply industry best practices, techniques, and standards during project execution.

Implement and maintain QA/QC procedures.

Manage client interface issues and establish change management processes for scope variations.

Manage external consultants and sub-consultants to ensure project execution quality.

Develop design management plans for each stage, overseeing all design phases.

Review design deliverables for completeness and standards compliance.

Serve as the main point of contact for day-to-day communication with clients and sub-consultants.

Prepare and update risk registers to identify and mitigate major risks.

Negotiate terms of Letters of Award or Consultancy Agreements with clients.

Perform risk management activities to minimize project risks.

Manage contract fees and oversee invoicing processes.

Liaise with Project Managers and Department Heads to issue payment requests.

Prepare and negotiate construction contracts with clients and contractors.

Coordinate resource sharing with regional offices for large projects.

Measure project performance using appropriate tools and techniques.

Create and maintain comprehensive project documentation.

Company Role

Contribute to developing company systems by reviewing procedures and providing feedback.

Participate in task groups and represent your team.

Attend meetings and provide feedback on development.

QHSE Responsibilities

Understand, implement, and follow 9E QHSE policies.

Coordinate QHSE procedures in your workplace.

Comply with local regulations and laws related to QHSE.

Report QHSE incidents immediately to the 9E QHSE Department and to legal authorities if required.

Abide by client and contractor QHSE requirements and complete site inductions before mobilization.

Qualifications

Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Architecture.

Minimum 10 years of experience.

Dubai Municipality G+ Unlimited Certificate highly preferred.

Strong knowledge of design development and dealing with local authorities.

Awareness of authority procedures and guidelines.

Ensure clear communication of project objectives and requirements.

Report potential problems or risks to the project director to mitigate future issues.
