Job summary

Client of Dr Expat seeks a Consultant Anesthesiologist to lead preoperative assessments, administer comprehensive anesthesia, and ensure safe intraoperative management. The role also covers postoperative pain control and critical care support, with collaboration across surgeons, intensivists, and nursing teams in a tertiary hospital setting.

Qualifications

• UK CCT in Anesthesia or American Board Certification.
• Tier 1 DHA qualification as per DHA guidelines.
• Minimum 3–5 years of post-specialist experience preferred.
• Eligible for DHA Consultant License.
• Excellent communication and multidisciplinary teamwork skills.
• Experience in a tertiary care or internationally accredited hospital preferred.

Responsibilities

• Conduct pre-anesthetic patient assessments and risk evaluations.
• Administer general, regional and local anesthesia for a wide range of surgical procedures.
• Monitor patients during surgery and manage anesthesia safely.
• Provide post-operative pain management and critical care support.
• Collaborate with surgeons, intensivists, nurses and multidisciplinary teams.
• Respond to emergency airway and resuscitation situations.
• Maintain accurate clinical documentation and comply with international patient safety standards.
• Participate in quality improvement initiatives and continuing medical education.
