Senior Analyst, System (Systems & Strategy)

JOB PURPOSE

The jobholder is responsible for providing specialized expertise in business analysis and process support for all system functions, including SAP and Non-SAP applications. The role aims to achieve system automation for Borouge ADP and Pte. This includes supporting systems such as computerized maintenance management, asset performance management, content management, planning and scheduling, and other custom applications. The jobholder will contribute to project coordination, system support, performance reporting, and policy implementation.

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES

Process Automation & Projects

• Conduct studies supporting automation of functional processes, including economic feasibility and testing studies for SAP and non-SAP systems, providing recommendations.
• Analyze user requirements across departments to evaluate necessary system updates.
• Plan and prioritize projects aligned with the business plan, coordinating with IT for timely implementation.
• Supervise new project implementation, ensuring scope, specifications, and user satisfaction.
• Develop project charters, define objectives, allocate budgets, and assign resources.

Process Integration & Optimization

• Assess and implement system changes, studying their impacts on related systems.
• Participate in major IT projects such as master data management, SOD, GRC, security, and disaster recovery.
• Monitor system updates, develop workflows, and manage user access to ensure data standards and support future business needs.

Application Support Dashboard & Data Management

• Manage systems and troubleshoot issues in SAP and Non-SAP applications, ensuring security compliance.
• Provide ongoing system support and maintenance for seamless operation.
• Generate quality reports for audits, liaise with users to resolve issues, and propose process improvements.
• Train users regularly to maximize system utilization.
• Monitor user performance and system problems, providing solutions as needed.

Business Process Management

• Conduct investigations to develop new functions and explore industry applications.
• Review and approve procedures and manuals, ensuring proper implementation and periodic updates.
• Identify issues and opportunities for system improvements and solutions.

QUALIFICATIONS, EXPERIENCE, KNOWLEDGE & SKILLS

• Degree in Management Information Systems or related field.
• Fluent in English, both written and spoken.
• At least 5 years of total experience, including 3 years as a Business Information Systems Specialist or IT System Analyst.
• Minimum 3 years of experience in the Petrochemicals, Oil & Gas sector.
• Experience with computerized maintenance management systems.
• Knowledge of Policies, Procedures, DOA, and Process Flowcharts.
• Knowledge of SAP Workflow, ASAP, VBA is advantageous.
• Understanding of business processes and applications.
• Ability to develop and deliver training sessions.
• Strong problem-solving, analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
• Knowledge of IT technologies, solutions, and project management is beneficial.
• Experience as a Business Analyst in IT companies is a plus.

Professional Certifications

• ERP systems (SAP, Oracle, etc.) and certifications in IT applications (.net, php, C++, html, etc.).
• Microsoft SharePoint, Microsoft certifications, MySQL, VBA applications are advantageous.
• Certification in Project Management (e.g., PMP) is preferred.
