JOB PURPOSE

The jobholder is responsible to provide specialized expertise in business analysis and process support for all function systems, including SAP and Non-SAP applications, to ensure achieving the desired system automation for Borouge ADP and Pte. This role includes providing system support for computerized maintenance management systems (SAP), asset performance management systems, content management solutions, planning and scheduling systems, and other custom applications and interfaces to support Maintenance for all system users. Additionally, the jobholder will contribute and coordinate application projects for process automation until fully functional, report and develop the creation and update of performance matrices and report generation, and contribute to the implementation of Policies and Procedures.

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES

  1. Process Automation & Projects
    • Conduct studies and initiate actions to support the automation of function processes, providing economic feasibility and comprehensive testing studies to support the financial and technical viability of both SAP and non-SAP systems.
    • Study and analyze user requirements from various functional areas to evaluate necessary updates in light of existing features.
    • Plan, prioritize, organize, and recommend an approved projects list in line with the function business plan, aligning project plans, timing, and milestones with Information Technology for timely updates in SAP and other systems.
    • Supervise and control the implementation of approved related projects until completion and user satisfaction, ensuring adaptation to company scope, specifications, and priorities.
    • Contribute to the development of project charters to define objectives, allocate budgets, and assign resources.
  2. Process Integration & Optimization
    • Assess the need for changes in Systems, studying implications of alterations to modules in relation to their impact on other systems.
    • Participate in major IT projects related to company strategy, such as Master Data Management, Segregation of Duties, and Governance Risk & Compliance.
    • Supervise, monitor, and test process and system update requirements to meet System Test criteria, developing and maintaining a workflow-driven master data creation and change request management system.
    • Manage applications access, user authorities, and ensure systems meet information requirements, supporting future business plans.
    • Manage systems and problem-solving studies in both SAP and Non-SAP applications, applying security system configuration and procedures for proper implementation.
    • Provide system support and maintenance for all function applications to ensure non-stop, trouble-free operation.
    • Provide quality data and SAP reports to Audits and liaise with expert users to solve and improve problem areas.
    • Train and coach system users regularly to ensure optimal usage of system features.
    • Monitor systems users' performance regarding SAP issues and workload, reporting to management.
    • Control and track function problems during and after implementation, providing solutions.
  3. Business Process Management
    • Conduct investigation studies aimed at developing new functions.
    • Investigate market/industry for new applications to enhance company functions and meet requirements.
    • Review and approve procedures and manuals for SAP and non-SAP applications, ensuring proper implementation and continuous review for enhancement.
    • Identify problems and opportunities for improvement with existing information systems and propose solutions.

QUALIFICATIONS, EXPERIENCE, KNOWLEDGE & SKILLS

  • University degree in Management Information Systems or a related discipline.
  • Fluency in English; written and oral.
  • Minimum of 5 years of total experience, including at least 3 years as a Business Information Systems Specialist or IT System Analyst.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in Technical roles for Petrochemical Oil & Gas Companies.
  • Experience in computerized maintenance management systems.
  • Skilled in Policies and Procedures, Delegation of Authority (DOA), and Process Flowcharts.
  • Knowledge of SAP Workflow, ASAP, and Visual Basic for Applications (VBA) is an advantage.
  • Understanding of respective business processes and applications.
  • Sound knowledge in developing and delivering training and awareness sessions.
  • Excellent problem-solving and high-level analytical skills.
  • Proven organizational, record-keeping, and time management skills.
  • Build and maintain effective working relationships with knowledge of IT-related technologies, solutions, and best practices.
  • Knowledge of Project Management is an advantage.
  • Exposure to work as a Business Analyst in IT Companies.
  • Understanding of function process concepts.

Professional Certifications

  • ERP System; SAP, Oracle, etc. and one of:
  • Microsoft SharePoint.
  • Certified Microsoft, MySQL, VBA Applications is an advantage.
  • Preferred to be certified in Project Management; e.g., PMP, etc.
