Job summary

Abu Dhabi Commercial Bank in the UAE is seeking a Senior Analyst – Compliance Assurance to join Group Compliance & Governance. You will perform assurance reviews and ensure controls are effective across processes, with a focus on preventing financial crime and maintaining market integrity.

The role covers Conduct Assurance, Consumer Protection reviews and policy governance, and may offer flexible/remote work depending on eligibility.

Qualifications

• At least 4 years of experience in Banking in Compliance, Branch or Operational Risk departments.
• Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, Accounting, Commerce or Business Administration.
• Microsoft Office Suite.
• Knowledge of UAE Central Bank (UAECB), Securities and Commodities Authority regulations, Banking rules and regulations
• Knowledge of international Banking best practices.

Responsibilities

• Perform assurance review and testing of processes within Group Compliance in order to evaluate the effectiveness of key controls from a design and operating perspective.
• Perform Conduct Assurance reviews to ensure high ethical standards of integrity, fair dealing, and best practices and delivery of fair customer outcomes and market integrity.
• Perform review on Consumer Protection, ensuring that all requirements are met and any identified gaps that require remediated with corrective actions are identified.
• Assist in the review on ADCB Code of Conduct to ensure they are well-designed and implemented to guide employees to make decisions that meet the highest standards of integrity, professionalism, and ethical behavior.
• Manage ABC mailbox to process any Gifts and Entertainments (G&E) approval requests from the business and support functions in the Bank, obtaining approval from the designated ABC Officer to ensure all requests and approvals are recorded in the G&E register.
• Investigate any escalation on potential ABC breach coming from ABC mailbox and/or other sources and update in the ABC breach register to ensure all breaches are followed through to conclusion.
• Assist in developing ABC training, including e-learning material, as per the refreshed Policy and Procedure to ensure all materials include the latest expectations.

About the business area, Group Compliance & Governance:

Compliance is an independent function at ADCB which takes an active approach to risk management and monitoring, ensuring the Bank complies with applicable laws, regulations, rules and market standards. The Group creates, implements and monitors policies and procedures designed to prevent or detect financial crime and any compliance breaches of the Bank, its employees and clients. It also monitors and measures the impact of conduct risk and compliance on the Bank’s risk appetite and profile.

In this role, your key responsibilities include:

The ideal candidate should have the following experience

• At least 4 years of experience in Banking in Compliance, Branch or Operational Risk departments.
• Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, Accounting, Commerce or Business Administration.
