Job summary

TAQA Distribution in the United Arab Emirates seeks a Senior AMI Cybersecurity & OT Engineer to secure end-to-end AMI systems, including meters, gateways, HES/MDMS, and networks. You will lead the implementation of cybersecurity controls across IT/OT in line with IEC 62443, UAE standards, NIST and ISO 27001.

You will develop robust OT security architecture, coordinate with IT/OT teams and contractors, and monitor security events to safeguard confidentiality, integrity and availability.

Qualifications

• 8 years of relevant working experience in AMI/smart metering or OT security.
• Experience with OT cybersecurity standards (IEC 62443, NIST, ISO 27001).
• Certifications in information security (CIA, CISA, CISSP, CISM) desirable.

Responsibilities

• Lead OT cybersecurity architecture for AMI systems and assets.
• Develop and update OT cybersecurity policy, procedures, and tools.
• Coordinate with IT/OT and contractors for secure meter integration.
• Monitor security events, support SIEM use cases, and risk assessments.
• Ensure secure data flows across Meter–Gateway–HES/MDMS.
