Job summary

Aventus in Al Ain, UAE, seeks an experienced Assistant Resident Engineer (OT Cybersecurity) to help deliver a dynamic cybersecurity enhancement program. You will support onboarding of substations and OT/SCADA into a centralized SOC, and supervise design validation, testing and commissioning throughout the project lifecycle.

The role requires 10+ years in OT/ICS security, strong knowledge of industrial protocols, security monitoring, incident response, and SOC integration.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, Information Security, Computer Engineering, or related field.
• 10+ years in OT/ICS cybersecurity or critical infrastructure projects.
• Familiar with OT security frameworks, network security and SCADA environments.
• Experience with SOC integration and security monitoring.

Responsibilities

• Support OT cybersecurity activities across project phases including planning, design, implementation, testing, and handover.
• Conduct site surveys and assessments for substations and OT/SCADA environments.
• Review OT cybersecurity designs and documentation for compliance with project requirements.
• Support onboarding of substations and OT systems into the central SOC.
• Coordinate with contractors, vendors, project teams and stakeholders on cybersecurity activities.
• Monitor progress, conduct site inspections and ensure adherence to cybersecurity standards.
