Job summary

Halian in Abu Dhabi, UAE, seeks an Agent Runtime Platform Engineer with 6+ years to design, build, and secure cloud-native runtime platforms for AI agent ecosystems and MCP servers. You will deploy AKS, container apps, and IaC pipelines.

You will work with AI engineers, security architects, and banking stakeholders on a production-ready platform, ensure scalability, resilience, and regulatory compliance, and contribute to architectural runbooks and automation scripts.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Cloud Computing, Information Technology, or a related field.
• Minimum 6+ years of professional software engineering and DevOps/Cloud platform engineering experience.
• Strong hands-on proficiency with AKS, Kubernetes, Azure Container Apps, and containerized platforms.
• Extensive experience with IaC tooling, particularly Terraform, and platform automation via GitHub Actions.
• Deep working knowledge of API gateways, cloud networking, workload identity management, and secrets management.
• Proven experience supporting event-driven systems, distributed architectures, and modern cloud-native runtime design.
• Familiarity with AI agent architectures, MCP server integration.
• Availability for onsite employment in Abu Dhabi, UAE.

Responsibilities

• Architect, deploy, and manage production-grade containerized platforms using AKS and Azure Container Apps.
• Implement IaC and automation workflows with Terraform and GitHub Actions.
• Configure API gateways, networking, workload identity, and secrets management.
• Design cloud-native runtimes for AI agent architectures and MCP servers.
• Ensure scalability, observability, resilience, and cost optimization.
• Collaborate with AI engineers, data scientists, software developers, and security teams in Abu Dhabi.
• Troubleshoot distributed systems, performance, and networking issues.
• Maintain architecture diagrams, runbooks, and automation scripts.
• Participate in architecture reviews and drive platform improvements.
