Job summary

Talent Arabia in the UAE is seeking an experienced Agent Runtime Platform Engineer to design and scale execution runtimes for autonomous AI agents, and to build distributed backends and containerized microservices.

You will collaborate with AI researchers and cloud architects, using Kubernetes, Docker, and REST/gRPC APIs to optimize performance, security, and reliability in production environments. UAE relocation is supported for the right candidate.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Distributed Systems, or a related field.
• 5+ years of professional software engineering experience, with focus on distributed systems or platform engineering.
• Hands-on experience building and supporting AI agent platforms, execution runtimes, or workflow orchestration engines.
• Deep technical proficiency in distributed systems architecture, REST/gRPC APIs, microservices, and containerization.
• Solid operational expertise with Kubernetes and cloud platforms (AWS, Azure).
• Strong analytical problem‑solving capabilities and passion for cutting‑edge AI technologies.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, scale, and maintain high-performance runtime platforms and execution environments for AI agents.
• Develop robust distributed systems, microservices architectures, and high-throughput APIs to support agent workflows.
• Deploy, manage, and scale containerized application clusters utilizing Kubernetes, Docker, and service meshes.
• Drive comprehensive infrastructure automation, configuration management, and cloud platform optimization.
• Ensure low-latency inter-agent communication, secure state management, and reliable resource allocation.
• Collaborate with AI researchers, machine learning engineers, and software development squads.
• Troubleshoot complex distributed system anomalies, concurrency bottlenecks, and scaling issues promptly.
• Implement strict security guardrails, access controls, and sandboxing for autonomous agent execution.
• Maintain comprehensive technical documentation, architecture blueprints, and platform runbooks.
• Ensure adherence to enterprise software engineering standards, high availability, and disaster recovery plans.
