Job summary

YO IT Consulting seeks an experienced Software Engineer - AI Training for a remote contract role based in Dubai. You will tackle backend and full-stack tasks, review unfamiliar code, and explain architectural tradeoffs while contributing to AI training workflows.

Ideal candidates have 5+ years of production software experience, strong API and cloud skills, and the ability to communicate technical reasoning clearly. Weekly commitment is around 10–12 hours with flexible scheduling.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of professional software engineering experience.
• Strong hands-on experience in backend or full-stack development.
• Proficiency in multiple languages and APIs, with production experience.

Responsibilities

• Complete advanced software engineering tasks across backend, full-stack, infrastructure, and systems environments.
• Read and understand unfamiliar codebases, technical specifications, and architectural requirements.
• Review code for correctness, maintainability, performance, reliability, security, and clarity.
• Debug application errors, integration failures, performance issues, and unexpected system behavior.
• Improve existing code through refactoring, optimization, stronger abstractions, and clearer documentation.
• Design and assess APIs, services, databases, integrations, and distributed components.
