Job summary

Edge Corporation is seeking a Senior AI Engineer for a 1-year on-site contract in Abu Dhabi. You will design, develop, and deploy AI models and systems with a focus on NLP, neural networks, and pattern recognition.

You will prototype new algorithms, deliver production-grade software, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate AI components into existing platforms. The role requires 6+ years in software/data/ML engineering, including 2+ years building LLM-based apps, and hands-on

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Mathematics, Engineering or a related field.
• 6+ years in software, data or ML engineering, including at least 2 years building and deploying LLM-based applications.
• Proven track record of shipping AI solutions to production in an enterprise environment, not only proofs of concept.
• Strong hands-on experience with the Microsoft AI stack (Azure AI Foundry / AzureOpenAI, Copilot Studio, Power Platform).
• Demonstrated project management experience: has led AI or digital projects end to end, on time and within budget.
• Hands-on experience managing and challenging technology vendors and system integrators, from RFP and evaluation through delivery.
• Experience in regulated industries (financial services, pensions, insurance, government) is a strong plus.
• Certifications are a plus: Azure AI Engineer Associate, Azure Solutions Architect, PMP,PRINCE2 or Agile.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and optimize AI models and systems, focusing on pattern recognition, neural networks, and NLP.
• Research and prototype new algorithms; implement production-grade software solutions.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate AI components into existing platforms.
• Performance tuning, data preparation and evaluation, and documentation of technical approaches.
• Mentor junior engineers; ensure AI solutions adhere to security, reliability, and ethical guidelines while meeting business objectives.
