Job Description

The SH&E Advisor will be responsible for identifying SH&E requirements, assessing and monitoring compliance with local legislative and regulatory obligations, as well as project and AECOM business requirements.

Role & Responsibilities

  1. Serve as the point of contact for SH&E-related matters on-site and for projects.
  2. Identify and ensure compliance with AECOM, project, and legislative requirements among stakeholders.
  3. Conduct daily inspections of contractor activities to ensure adherence to SH&E policies, plans, and obligations.
  4. Perform visual inspections, report issues, and submit observations via the project reporting system, following up on close-outs within established timeframes.
  5. Perform technical work across environmental, health, and safety disciplines to maintain compliance with ES&H standards and regulations.
  6. Apply fundamental concepts and practices related to environmental safety with demonstrated knowledge.
  7. Assist in developing, implementing, and maintaining safety and health programs, systems, and procedures.
  8. Monitor and mitigate hazards and health risks in the work environment.
  9. Investigate workplace accidents, injuries, and hazards.

Qualifications

  • Minimum 8 years of experience in a relevant field.
  • Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Occupational Safety, Engineering, or related fields, with a NEBOSH Diploma or equivalent.
