We seek a Senior Advisor - Environment to develop environmental deliverables, conduct inspections and audits, and ensure compliance with laws and permit conditions across projects. The role requires NEBOSH qualifications, ISO 14001 expertise, and 8 years in the environment field, including oil & gas.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Environment Engineering or Sciences is required.
• NEBOSH IGC in environmental management or NEBOSH Certificate is required.
• Lead or Internal Auditor Certificate in ISO 14001 is preferred.
• 8 years of experience in Environment field, with 3+ years in managing env aspects in oil & gas or petro-chemical industries.

Responsibilities

• Develop Environmental deliverables per client specs and ISO standards.
• Create forms, templates, and checklists for environmental plans and sub plans.
• Conduct routine environmental inspections and site audits to detect hazards and enforce controls.
• Perform periodical environmental inspections of site works and areas under scope for compliance.
• Identify applicable laws and ensure compliance including permit conditions.
• Liaise between Company and Contractor on Environmental matters.
• Oversee waste handling, treatment, recycling, or disposal with proper logs.
• Support Design, Construction and Commissioning HSE studies & workshops.
• Monitor monthly environmental data to meet company targets (GHG).
• Investigate spills/incidents and develop corrective actions.
• Conduct Company Environment awareness campaigns.

JOB TITLE: Senior Advisor - Environment

Key Accountabilities

• Develop Project Environmental deliverables in accordance with Client Specifications and ISO standard.
• Develop necessary forms, templates, checklist to implement Project Environmental requirements as per approved Environmental plans and associated sub plans/ procedures"
• Conduct routine environmental inspections and site audits to detect hazards, evaluate risks, and enforce environmental controls. Address various non-conformances of Project environmental requirements as required.
• Undertake periodical inspections of site works and all other areas under scope of work such as RoW, camp, storage area, laydown, workshop, etc. for environmental compliance and also conduct periodical internal environmental audits to ensure that Project activities comply with legislative and contractual requirements
• Identify applicable laws and all other interested parties’ requirements and implement the compliance obligations including Ministry permit conditions in a timely manner
• Liaise between Company and Contractor organization Environmental related matters
• Ensure waste is managed responsibly through proper handling, treatment, recycling, or disposal. Oversee hazardous and non-hazardous waste segregation, maintain manifest logs, and coordinate with approved disposal vendors.
• Participate in Design, Construction and Commissioning HSE Studies & Workshops"
• Monitor, verify, and analyse monthly environmental data for its accuracy and correctness in order to meet Company Environmental targets (specifically GHG emissions). This includes verifying the source data from other interested parties such as subcontractor, vendor, etc.
• Investigate environmental spills or incidents and develop corrective and preventive actions
• Conduct/ communicate Company Environment awareness Campaigns/ Initiatives including relevant alerts / lesson learned for disseminating information

Qualifications & Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in Environment Engineering or Sciences
• NEBOSH IGC or NEBOSH Certificate for Environmental Management
• Lead or Internal Auditor Certificate in ISO 14001
• 8 years of experience in Environment field, 3 of which is in managing and implementing Environmental aspects in projects / operations / production in the oil & gas or petro-chemical industries

Skills & Competencies

• Strong understanding of the Environmental issues, practices in the Oil & Gas operations/EPC business
• Sound understanding of the HSSE Management System and Environmental legislative requirements
• Ability to develop and implement Environment Management Plans
• Ability to conduct Environmental Monitoring, audits and inspections
• Ability to conduct training/awareness sessions on relevant Environment related procedures and standards
• Ability to investigate environment related incidents, identify immediate and root causes
• Spill response training
• Exposure to Ambient Air Quality Monitoring/ CAAQMS
• Effective interpersonal, verbal & written communication skills in English
