A leading private hospital in the UAE is looking for a Western-qualified Consultant in Acute Medicine to provide specialist assessment and management of patients with acute medical conditions. The role involves rapid diagnosis, stabilization, and treatment with close collaboration across emergency medicine, internal medicine, and inpatient teams.

Key responsibilities include managing acute illnesses, coordinating admissions and investigations, and participating in audits and CPD.

Qualifications

• Medical degree with recognised postgraduate qualification in Acute Medicine or Internal Medicine.
• Western qualification such as UK CCT/CCST, Irish CSCST, American Board, Canadian Royal College, FRACP, or equivalent.
• Strong experience in acute medical assessment, stabilization and management of complex patients.
• Experience in a tertiary hospital or acute medical unit preferred.
• Excellent clinical decision-making, communication and teamwork.

Responsabilités

• Assess and manage patients with acute medical illnesses and undifferentiated symptoms.
• Provide rapid diagnosis, stabilization and treatment of acute medical conditions.
• Manage acute exacerbations of chronic diseases and medical emergencies.
• Coordinate admissions, investigations, treatment plans and discharge planning.
• Work with Emergency Medicine, Internal Medicine, Critical Care and other specialties.
• Recognize deteriorating patients and arrange escalation of care.
• Maintain accurate clinical documentation and follow patient-safety protocols.
• Participate in clinical audits, quality improvement and CPD.
