Job summary

ConFlip is seeking an experienced Accountant for our team in Haur-Fakkan, UAE. The role covers daily bookkeeping, payroll, financial reporting, and preparation of monthly financial statements, ensuring accuracy and compliance with applicable laws.

The ideal candidate holds a Degree in Accounting, has at least 3 years of accounting experience, is proficient with QuickBooks and MS Office, and can work independently with strong analytical and communication skills.

Qualifications

• Degree in Accounting or related field
• At least 3 years of experience in bookkeeping and accounting roles
• Working knowledge of GAAP
• Strong analytical skills with a high level of accuracy and attention to detail
• Excellent communication, organizational, problem solving and time management skills
• Proficient in MS Office applications (Excel, Word) as well as software used in the accounting department (e.g., QuickBooks)
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
• Ability to handle confidential information with discretion.

Responsibilities

• Prepare financial statements on a monthly basis including balance sheets, income statements, cash flow statements, etc.
• Maintain accurate records of accounts payable/receivable transactions
• Prepare journal entries for various transactions including payroll expenses, depreciation/amortization expense calculation etc.
• Manage accounts receivable/payable process ensuring timely payments of invoices/bills
• Reconcile bank accounts on a regular basis to ensure accuracy of financial information
• Prepare monthly reports such as sales analysis report or budget vs actual analysis report etc.
• Analyze discrepancies between actual results and budgeted amounts; identify root causes & suggest solutions accordingly
• Monitor compliance with applicable laws & regulations such as tax laws, employment laws etc.; provide guidance when needed
• Provide support to other departments when needed by preparing ad hoc reports or analysis for decision making purposes
