Job summary

Lift Mart is seeking a Senior Accountant in Dubai to oversee financial operations, ensure GAAP compliance, and provide in-depth financial analysis. The role focuses on reporting, budgeting, GL management, and audits to support strategic decisions.

The ideal candidate has 5+ years in accounting, with 2+ years in a leadership role, and strong skills in GAAP, financial analysis, and ERP systems such as Odoo. You will mentor a team and drive accuracy across all financial processes.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• CPA or CMA certification is preferred.
• 5+ years of accounting experience, incl. 2+ years in a senior/managerial role.
• Strong knowledge of GAAP, financial reporting and analysis.
• Excellent communication, leadership and team management skills.
• Proficiency in accounting software and systems such as Odoo.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Responsibilities

• Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements (balance sheets, income statements, cash flow).
• Develop and manage the annual budget and provide regular forecasts.
• Oversee the general ledger, journal entries, reconciliations and close processes.
• Manage accounts payable and receivable processes for timely payments and collections.
• Oversee inventory valuation and control for accurate tracking.
• Ensure GAAP compliance and manage internal/external audits.
• Provide financial analysis and insights for cost, profitability, ROI analyses.
• Assist with tax planning and tax return preparation and audits.
• Oversee payroll processes and ensure accurate compensation processing.
• Manage and mentor accounting professionals for high performance.
