Job summary

Afrina Group of Companies in Dubai seeks a Senior Accountant to oversee financial operations, ensure regulatory compliance, and support management with accurate reporting and analysis. The role requires 5+ years of accounting experience, strong knowledge of VAT, and proficiency in Altavista Accounting Software. You will lead financial reporting, budgeting, and internal controls, while mentoring junior staff and coordinating with the Finance Director.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance or Commerce.
• 5+ years of proven accounting experience.
• CPA/ACCA/CMA or equivalent is an advantage.

Responsibilities

• Maintain accurate financial records and statements.
• Manage general ledger and ensure proper recording of transactions.
• Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports for management.
• Conduct financial analysis and provide recommendations to improve performance.
• Monitor cash flow, expenses, and revenue for financial stability.
• Oversee accounts payable/receivable processes and reconciliations.
• Assist in budgeting and forecasting; report variances.
• Ensure UAE compliance and VAT filing; coordinate audits.
• Review payroll calculations and confidentiality of financial data.
• Utilize Altavista for transactions, reporting, and reconciliations.
