Job summary

An environmental consultancy firm in Dubai is seeking a Senior Accountant to oversee key accounting functions and ensure accurate financial reporting. This role is vital for budgeting, financial analysis, and compliance with accounting standards. Candidates should have a Bachelor’s degree in accounting, at least 5 years of progressive accounting experience, and advanced skills in Excel. Familiarity with UAE regulations and ERP systems will be advantageous.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 5 years of progressive accounting experience required.
• 1-2 years in a supervisory or senior role is preferred.
• Master's degree in accounting or finance is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and review monthly, quarterly and annual financial statements.
• Manage general ledger, journal entries, accruals, and reconciliations.
• Oversee project-based accounting in collaboration with project managers.
• Support Finance team with budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow management.
• Ensure compliance with accounting standards and tax regulations.

Skills

UAE and KSA based regulatory knowledge

Advanced software proficiency in MS Excel

Strong command of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles

Strong command of International Financial Reporting Standards

Education

Bachelor degree in accounting

Accounting Certification (CPA/CMA)

Tools

ERP Systems (e.g. Sage, Quickbooks, Odoo)
