Job description

Position Overview:

Ensure all accounting transactions are processed in accordance with appropriate accounting guidelines, accurately calculated & booked, in line with IFRS, satisfy any terms & conditions, and are approved by the relevant authorities as per the Delegation of Authority.

Roles and Responsibility:

• Responsible for the day-to-day accounting entries.
• Invoice registration, processing, and payment as per terms & conditions.
• Responsible for monthly and yearly closing of accounting periods.
• Work closely with cost planners & end users to ensure accurate accruals are captured during the accounting period.
• Preparation of balance sheet account reconciliations including AP, Fixed Assets, and bank reconciliations.
• Maintain the Fixed Asset register and accounting records for all assets including processing of depreciation.
• Processing of payroll and other personnel payments to the bank.
• Support in the preparation of the internal management monthly reporting pack.
• Monitoring cash in the bank and updating cash forecasting requirements.
• Coordinating with Etihad Rail to ensure timely payments are received.
• Preparation of monthly invoices to Etihad Rail along with recording of relevant receivables.
• Liaise with internal & external auditors during audits.
• Training & development of UAE Nationals.

Academic Qualifications:

• Bachelors / Master’s Degree.

Professional Qualifications:

• CPA, ACCA, CFA (or equivalent) qualifications.

Experience:

• 6 Years + in Accounting (Financial & Managerial Accounting Mix).

Other Skills:

• Excellent English language skills, verbal & written.
• Good working knowledge of Microsoft Excel.
• Knowledge of IFRS.
• SAP FI-CO working knowledge.
