The Senior Accountant - Accounts Receivable will support the Assistant Manager Accounts Receivable by performing the day-to-day activities in the Accounts Receivable function of the Finance Department.
Job Responsibilities
Ensure all queries from students and/or their representatives are attended to and clarified in a timely and sufficient manner.
Ensure that all day-to-day data entries are accurately recorded and booked in the students' accounts, including payments, deferments, financial holds, document release holds, etc.
Ensure that all charges are properly booked to the students' accounts and perform periodic reconciliations to maintain healthy records.
Coordinate with internal business partners to issue invoices and follow up on their payments.
Follow up on payments for invoices issued to customers, sponsors, and business partners, and generate related reports as required.
Maintain signed contracts and coordinate with Procurement for outlets on campus, handling all their financial matters, including issuing invoices, maintaining sales records, and following up on payments.
Coordinate with the scholarship office, the Exchange Students Office, sponsor representatives, and outlets on campus to ensure that all issues are promptly addressed.
Maintain the registration periods through coordination and cooperation with other sections in Finance, as well as other departments at AUS.
Assist the AR Assistant Manager with accounts receivable aging analysis and other reports/analysis.
Update the ODAA invoice payment status report monthly and communicate it to the ODAA office.
Qualifications and Skills Required
Bachelor's degree in related field: Finance / Accounting
Master's degree in finance/accounting or professional accounting Qualification (ACCA / CIMA / CPA / ACA / CMA)
Minimum 4 years of relevant experience
Strong verbal and written communication skills (Arabic is a must)
Familiarity with ERP systems
Strong analytical skills
Experience in credit management
Customer service experience
Ability to handle customers under pressure
Proficiency in Microsoft Office
Excellent time management skills
Strong problem-solving abilities
Ability to work under pressure
