Senior Accountant

About the Role

We are looking for a Senior Accountant to join one of our sister company (AIKTA Tech) in Lahore. Our office is located in DHA Phase 6. This role would need to be working from office from Mon-Thur & Friday (WFH) - 10 AM till 6PM.

The ideal candidate will have substantial exposure to monthly closing processes, forecasting and budgeting, and customer billing. They will be organised and approach each issue with an analytical mindset.

Responsibilities Include:

• Verify, allocate, post and reconcile accounts payable and receivable.
• Produce error-free accounting reports and present their results.
• Analyze financial information and summarize financial status.
• Prepare entries to general ledger accounts, cost centers and documents business transactions.
• Spot errors and suggest ways to improve efficiency and spending.
• Provide technical support and advice on Management accountant.
• Review and recommend modifications to accounting systems and procedures.
• Reviews, investigates, and corrects errors and inconsistencies in financial entries, documents, and reports.
• Manage accounting assistants and bookkeepers.
• Participate in financial standards setting and in forecast process.
• Provide input into department’s goal setting process.
• Prepare financial statements and produce budget according to schedule.
• Assist with tax audits and tax returns.
• Direct internal and external audits to ensure compliance.
• Plan, assign and review staff’s work.
• Prepares and presents monthly management reports.
• Prepare month-end balance sheet schedules.
• Develop and document business processes and accounting policies to maintain and strengthen internal controls.
• Ensure compliance with IFRS.
• Liaise with our accounting manager to improve financial procedures.

Here’s What You’ll Need:

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance, or Economics or equivalent experience
• 4+ years of professional accounting experience.
• Preferably with Big 4 audit firm background.
• Qualified CA, CPA, CMA.
• Experience with computerised ledger systems
• Advanced knowledge of Excel
• Strong problem solving and analytical skills.
• Ability to function well in a team-oriented environment.
