Job summary

[Unknown] is seeking an experienced Senior Accountant to manage day-to-day accounting in Dubai with autonomy and timely financial reporting. The role demands strong VAT control, month-end/year-end closings, and proficiency in SAP and MS Excel.

You will support management with accurate statements and cash flow forecasts. The position requires at least 5 years of relevant experience, a Bachelor's in Accounting, and excellent analytical and organizational skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• Minimum 5 years of accounting experience.
• Strong understanding of UAE VAT and financial reporting.
• Experience with SAP is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Manage full-cycle daily accounting operations and maintain accurate financial records.
• Oversee accounts payable and accounts receivable, including aging review and follow-up on collections.
• Prepare and review invoices, receipts, payment vouchers, and expense reports.
• Perform bank reconciliations and monitor and forecast cash flow.
• Lead month-end and year-end closing activities, including accruals, prepayments, depreciation, and general ledger reconciliations.
• Prepare financial statements and management reports (P&L, balance sheet, cash flow).
• Prepare and file UAE VAT returns and maintain FTA-compliant documentation.
• Coordinate with external auditors and maintain proper filing and documentation for audits and compliance.
• Contribute to strengthening internal controls, policies, and procedures.
• Support budgeting and forecasting activities as required.
