We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Senior Accountant to manage the day-to-day financial transactions, month-end closing activities, and tax compliance of the company. The ideal candidate will ensure accurate record-keeping, timely financial reporting, and effective management of accounts receivable and payable, while coordinating closely with our AI Kuwait office. This role is critical to maintaining financial discipline and supporting our operational and strategic goals.

Key Responsibilities
Daily Accounting & Bookkeeping
· Record and post daily journal entries, including general ledger transactions, banking activities, and expense allocations.
· Ensure accuracy, completeness, and timeliness of all accounting records in Zoho Books.
Banking & Reconciliation
· Record all bank transactions and perform regular bank reconciliations.
· Investigate and resolve discrepancies in a timely manner.
Invoicing & Accounts Receivable
· Prepare and issue customer invoices with complete supporting documentation.
· Monitor receivables and proactively follow up on overdue accounts.
Vendor & Accounts Payable Management
· Process vendor invoices, match with purchase orders, and arrange payments within agreed timelines.
· Maintain ongoing communication with vendors and service providers to resolve issues promptly.
Month-End Closing Process
· Perform all month-end closing activities, including posting of accruals, prepayments, and necessary adjusting entries in Zoho Books.
· Prepare balance sheet reconciliations and ensure the accuracy of key financial accounts.
· Upload and reconcile trial balances and supporting schedules in Tagetik for group reporting purposes.
· Ensure compliance with month-end closing timelines and reporting requirements.
Tax & Compliance Support
· Assist in VAT compliance by preparing VAT-compliant sales invoices and ensuring correct VAT treatment for transactions.
· Support preparation and filing of VAT returns, maintaining accurate input and output VAT ledgers.
· Assist with other tax filings and ensure compliance with local tax regulations.
Intercompany Coordination
· Act as a liaison with our AI Kuwait office for intercompany transactions, reconciliations, and reporting.
· Ensure timely settlement and proper documentation of intercompany balances.
Record-Keeping & Audit Support
· Maintain a systematic filing of all financial documents including invoices, contracts, receipts, and tax records.
· Support internal and external audit processes by preparing and providing required documents and reports.
Other Finance Duties
· Contribute to the preparation of periodic financial reports and management accounts.
· Handle additional accounting, finance, and compliance-related tasks as assigned.

Qualifications & Skills
· Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance, or a related field.
· 5–6 years of hands-on experience in accounting, bookkeeping, month-end closing, and VAT compliance.
· Strong knowledge of accounting principles and local tax regulations.
· Practical experience working with Zoho Books and Tagetik is highly preferred.
· Proficient in Microsoft Excel and financial reporting tools.
· Excellent attention to detail, strong organizational skills, and ability to meet tight deadlines.
· Effective communication skills to liaise with internal teams and external parties.
